I am back in Michigan and settling in. It’s been a little bit of a weird schedule for me because I’m thoroughly immersed in Olympic hockey. This past week has been a whirlwind packing for my trip to Albuquerque. I always kinda forget how much work it is to pack for a trip where I’ll be gone for a MONTH. Thankfully, since I’m staying with friends that whole time, I can do laundry. It’s been quite a week! I went to not one, but TWO hockey games on Saturday. I took my parents to a noon game in Detroit to cheer on the Pittsburgh Penguins when they beat Detroit, then met up with a friend who had free tickets to a 7pm University of Michigan game where they beat the USNTDP (national development program) team. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, if you celebrated.   Mine was just my parents and I, but we did the full Thanksgiving spread. We also did our annual family doughnut party on Sunday with the extended family.    I got to see two of my cousins and their families and my parents are continuing the traditions my mom’s parents started, which is really fun. It was great to catch up and the kids (many of whom are in college/graduating now!) have fun helping my dad fry the doughnut
