It’s been quite a week! I went to not one, but TWO hockey games on Saturday. I took my parents to a noon game in Detroit to cheer on the Pittsburgh Penguins when they beat Detroit, then met up with a friend who had free tickets to a 7pm University of Michigan game where they beat the USNTDP (national development program) team. It’s difficult to wrap up a year like this one.   It was a struggle most of the way through for me in so many ways. It’s been a bit of a wild week for me. Lots of things going sideways on me as I try to prepare for the holiday craziness ahead. Things are humming along around here. I took a couple of days off writing to focus on some admin work that’s been lingering on my To Do list. It feels so good to get that all checked off. Mine has been a little chaotic (really feeling that Mercury in Retrograde energy right now …) but I’ve gotten a lot done.   I bought and assembled a comfy new desk chair because my previous one was getting so old. The cushion was losing its supportiveness and the latch that lets me lean back in it/lock it upright went on the fritz.  I figured it was time to get something more comfortable.    My humidifier and my garment steamer both died too. It’s been a whirlwind of a week.   My knee is feeling GREAT. My parents are back from vacation which means that I am FINALLY back to my normal schedule. It’s a good thing too because I was about to have a fucking meltdown.   Last weekend, I attended Artoberfest in Ann Arbor. The city holds a HUGE art fair in the summer and while it’s amazing, I find it really overwhelming.
