WHAT I’M UP TO …

I know you’re probably confused about why my newsletters have been so erratic lately, but life has been a little wild. Some good, some bad.  

My migraines were truly terrible at the end of August. Thank you for all of your kind words and suggestions. The wild shifts in barometric pressure have settled a little in the past week and I don’t want to jinx it, but my migraines have been better since. Not gone, but a lot better. That’s one of the really positive things.

The other positive thing is that I was able to take a short vacation! It’s Lake Vacation 2.0 because I had to leave Lake Vacation 1.0 early due to the devastating wildfires in Canada and Minnesota.

Unfortunately, the bad part is that when I got back from vacation there were horrible storms in Michigan. A tornado touched down on Detroit’s east side and throughout Michigan, there were many power outages. Hundreds of thousands of people without power. 

Unfortunately, I was one of them. Thankfully, unlike many areas, we got our power back after about 36 hours. I thought about going to my cousin’s house to work, which was a little further north and unaffected by the outage, but there were several times where the power came back for a while, went out again, then returned. I finally gave up and decided to just stay home and read.

Writing: 

• I am making great progress on Christmas at O’Neill’s, a Scoring Chances holiday novella, and I am about 30% done writing it. 

  
  

Audio:

• I’m reviewing Game Misconduct audio chapters and LOVING them. I can’t wait to listen to more. 

  
  

Shop: 

• Tanner & Leif merch and illustrated signed paperbacks will be available on my Shop next week!

  
  

Events: 

• I will be selling and signing books at Hockey Romance Night with the Grand Rapids Griffins on October 19 at Van Andel Arena. Tickets will go on sale on Wed. September 9^th at 10:00 am EST. THEY GO FAST SO DON’T MISS OUT.

• I will be attending Sports Romance from Fri, June 25, 2027 — 12:00 PM CDT to Sun, June 27, 2027. I will let you know when tickets are available for that.
