WHAT I’M UP TO …
Things are humming along with getting Christmas at O’Neill’s ready to release in early December and I have a nice little surprise for you! It’s a teaser from the story that I really think you’ll enjoy! It even features a couple of familiar faces.
Check out yesterday’s post here if you’d like to read it.
whispers I don’t want to get my hopes up that it’ll last but the good news is that the weather has finally stabilized enough for me to string together a few non-migraine days in a row this week.
It’s SUCH a relief to not be in pain and have more energy. I still have my doctor’s appointment coming up so I can hopefully feel like this more often than not, but for now it’s nice to have a bit of a reprieve.
Although I was sad I had to cancel the Grand Rapids book event this weekend, I’m glad I did. I wound up having a migraine on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning so it would have been a very challenging day for me.
I did manage to have a nice weekend though. My cousin was in town for an alumni event at the university we both went to and along with other cousins, aunts, and uncles, we had a lovely brunch together. It was great to catch up with people I haven’t seen in a long time, and we made plans to see each other more often.
As difficult as life has been for so many of us lately, it was a nice reminder that family (by blood or by choice) can be such an important connection in our lives.
Want to know what else I’ve been up to?
Writing:
I’m over 10% of the way into Game Delay and I am having a lot of fun with Nicky & Mac! I suspect I will slow down a bit as I get into the middle of the book (like usual) but for now, the words are flowing and I am really enjoying myself.
Editing:
Christmas at O’Neill’s is back from my editor! I will be working on those edits this weekend and then it’ll be off for proofreading! This is WAY earlier than I typically get books finished but that’s because James will be recording the audio in November so I can do a simultaneous ebook, paperback, and audio release on my website! You can find the pre-orders for that here.
Audio:
I listened to a bunch of Preston’s Christmas Escape audio chapters this week and I am excited to review the rest as soon as James has them ready. His Blake voice is SO GOOD.
See you here next week!

Yeah for days without being in pain. Fingers crossed you'll get more of them. Ok, question, but please don't get me wrong. I'm just curious not criticising: will you ever write something not Hockey related again?
