GAME MISCONDUCT

August 7, 2028

I really feel for Leif when, early on in the book, he thinks the following about Tanner:

Trying to keep him on track would be a full-time job, Leif thought. Thank fuck it’ll never be me who has to worry about it.

Wrangling Tanner really is a full-time job! Writing his book has been a lesson in taking a lot of deep breaths, being okay with side quests, and just trusting that everything will happen in the right time.

I can’t blame him for my migraines (which have also slowed down the writing process) but I’ve felt like I was behind from the very beginning.

If I thought finding a cover model for Luke was tough, finding one for Tanner has been impossible. I’ve spent MONTHS searching for the right model and image and it wasn’t until this week that I found a solution.

I’m working with the lovely Eric McKinney of 6:12 Photography to do a semi-custom shoot. That means he was already scheduled to work with a model this week and I got to pick and choose what he wears/what his pose will be.

The great part is that I get to do exactly what I want. The bad part is I won’t have the photos until the verrry last second. I’ve never done a cover reveal the week of a book release, but here we are!

Once you read the story, you’ll understand why this all actually makes perfect sense but it’s definitely been a challenge for me.

Leave it to Tanner to upend every plan I’ve ever made for him! Except falling in love with Leif and having him fall in love with Tanner. That part they’re sticking to, thankfully.

Just cross your fingers that everything goes according to plan because this is verrry stressful.
