WHAT I’M UP TO …

A seafoam green coffee cup is in front of a hand holding a pen writing in a notebook. The text reads, "WHAT I'M UP TO..." and the date.

Although I was very much looking forward to resting and recharging at the cottage last week, that was cut very short by the wildfires (see yesterday's post for details on that). Climate change is impacting us all and it’s very worrisome to imagine how much worse it will get in the future.

I tried to rest and recharge at home the best I could, but I am still teetering on the edge of burnout and am not quite sure how I’m going to deal with that. Given the state of the world, it feels nearly impossible right now.

I also injured my foot last week. I slipped on the steps at the cottage and landed oddly on one foot. Despite icing/elevating, it was quite swollen and bruised, so I went to urgent care once I got back home Wednesday. Thankfully, no bones are broken and it’s just a soft tissue injury. It’s turning all sorts of interesting colors and is various shades of purple/blue/green/yellow at the moment) but thankfully it isn’t as painful as it looks.

Want to know what else I’ve been up to?
