It’s been a whirlwind of a week.   My knee is feeling GREAT. The lingering stiffness when I kneel is gone and I’m back to my usual walking sprints on the treadmill.   Finishing the first draft of Delayed Penalty gave me a burst of energy and I checked off some tasks that have been lingering on my list, including shipping out something I’d promised to send to a friend … oh, a year and a half ago?   If you wondered why Kim has taken over shipping signed books … uh, this is it,

Happy Halloween!  I can’t believe October is almost over.   This week my focus has been almost entirely on wrapping up Delayed Penalty  and watching hockey.  There was a really wild Penguins vs. Flyers game the other night where I learned two new rules that I didn’t even know existed! That’s always fun.   Somehow, my Penguins are 2 nd  in the entire league, despite the fact that we have several ancient players (in hockey years) along with some baby prospects, and no one thoug

I am finally settling back into my routine, and it has been such a relief.   My knee is allllmost there and things like doing my morning interval walks on the treadmill and squatting/stretching are almost back to normal. I’m still taking it a little easy but it feels so good to not be limited in what I can do.   It’s been cool and rainy here too, which means I am very  happy. Hooray for real autumn weather! My parents are back from vacation which means that I am FINALLY back to my normal schedule. It’s a good thing too because I was about to have a fucking meltdown.   Last weekend, I attended Artoberfest in Ann Arbor. The city holds a HUGE art fair in the summer and while it’s amazing, I find it really overwhelming.
