WHAT I’M UP TO …

takes a deep breath and releases it slowly 

As I mentioned last week, my parents are on vacation, so I am taking care of their critters and gardens. I am excited to say that the end is in sight! They’ll be returning on the 13^th and I am definitely excited for them to come back.  

I am glad they’re having a great time, but it has been a ton of work for me, and I am definitely looking forward to not having to use so much of my time and energy to keep all sorts of living beings alive.  

When I talked to them on the phone, my mom said, “We’ll definitely figure out something different in the future.” It was fine a few years ago when I had far fewer plates I was juggling but running an author business is no joke! 

In other good news, my knee is starting to feel better. I’ve been icing it and resting it whenever possible and I think by next week I should be back to normal. fingers crossed 

Best of all, autumn is here!  

Now that the air is crisp and cool instead of hot and muggy, I am a happy author again.  

It’ll be a little warmer this coming weekend but nothing unreasonable so I am trying to decide what fall-ish thing I should do. Go for a hike? Check out a local festival? There are so many options and I can’t decide which I want to do.

Writing 

• I am making great progress on Delayed Penalty. The cover is nearly complete too, so I’ll be doing a cover reveal for that soon! 

Audio: 

• James is recording Slew Foot in audio. It is available for pre-order here in my shop and, as usual, he’s doing an amazing job! I am having so much fun listening to Mickey & Rafe while I work on a puzzle, do dishes, or tidy my closet.  

Projects:  

Signed paperbacks are live in my shop! It was a HUGE project and I am so glad to see that you are picking up not only the current titles, like Goaltender Interference, but the Rules of the Game and #Relationship Goals series along with some really old first editions and out of print titles!
