WHAT I’M UP TO …

I am finally settling back into my routine, and it has been such a relief.
My knee is allllmost there and things like doing my morning interval walks on the treadmill and squatting/stretching are almost back to normal. I’m still taking it a little easy but it feels so good to not be limited in what I can do.
It’s been cool and rainy here too, which means I am very happy. Hooray for real autumn weather! I’m back to wearing cozy sweaters, burning my apple-scented candles, and enjoying mugs of herbal tea in the evenings.
I’ve also been working on puzzles while I listen to audiobooks (either reviewing Slew Foot chapters) or ones I’m listening to for pleasure. It’s such a relaxing way to wind down in the evenings and I am really loving it.
I’m about 2/3 of the way done with an underwater sea life puzzle and next up will be an heirloom pumpkin one that I am very excited about.
I also revealed the cover and blurb for Delayed Penalty so see yesterday’s post for more on that.
In the meantime, want to know what else I’ve been working on?
Writing/Editing:
Delayed Penalty definitely overshot the expected finish date but it’s coming together really nicely now. I had originally planned to go a slightly different direction with it but the guys just kept putting their foot down about it. After a good talk through with my alpha reader, we figured out how to trim some of the planned scenes and shift them to really fit the story that’s emerged. It can be frustrating when things don’t go to plan, but sometimes, it can also be really rewarding. And I think you are going to enjoy the way it came together. I should wrap up early next week. Beta readers, you’ll be up soon!
Audio:
The Slew Foot audio chapters are almost done, and will be ready in plenty of time for the November release!
Did you know that I recently released an AUDIO version of Snowball’s Chance on my shop? The holiday novella features Shane Hurst and & Noel Sutton and is narrated by James Edward Jones. It is available for your listening pleasure here.
Projects:
Signed paperbacks are still available in the shop. It includes current titles, first editions, and out of print copies.
See you back here next week!
