A seafoam green coffee cup is in front of a hand holding a pen writing in a notebook. The text reads, "WHAT I'M UP TO..." and the date.

If you celebrated one of the many winter holidays, I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing time! If you’re looking to escape the madness of the season with a book, keep reading for some great promos!

I went to see the Saginaw Spirit hockey game with a friend last weekend. We had a BLAST. As the friend I went with described it, it was a “fast, sloppy, and dirty” game. She wasn’t wrong. At one point, there were three players in each penalty box …

They also did a teddy bear toss. If you aren’t familiar with the tradition, that night we fans brought over 5,000 stuffed animals to the rink and chucked them on the ice after the first goal by the home team. The toys were gathered up and donated to children’s charities/hospitals.

I can honestly tell you that tossing stuffed animals over the glass at hockey players is an underrated way to spend ones’ evening … The team won 6-4 and it was such a fun night.  I am going to a couple of other hockey games in January and very much looking forward to them as well!

Want to know what else I’ve been up to?
