WHAT I’M UP TO …

It’s been a whirlwind of a week.
My knee is feeling GREAT. The lingering stiffness when I kneel is gone and I’m back to my usual walking sprints on the treadmill.
Finishing the first draft of Delayed Penalty gave me a burst of energy and I checked off some tasks that have been lingering on my list, including shipping out something I’d promised to send to a friend … oh, a year and a half ago?
If you wondered why Kim has taken over shipping signed books … uh, this is it, friends. Shipping is my kryptonite. But yay, now it’s done!
I also watched Practical Magic with my bestie (virtually, since I’m in Michigan and she’s in New Mexico). It was such a fun nostalgic moment since we were both teenagers when it came out in the late 90s. Gotta say, other than some questionable CGI, it’s held up very well.
Still a fun little witchy movie about sisters and family and love. The book is excellent too, if you haven’t read it.
I’ve also been working on an heirloom pumpkin puzzle and a fall coloring book in the evenings on non-hockey nights. It’s great to get off all of my devices and just do something crafty.
In big news, Slew Foot is now available on my shop.
In the meantime, want to know what else I’ve been working on?
Writing/Editing:
Delayed Penalty has been sent to beta readers and my editor and I have confirmed dates. We are on track for the December 12th release!
Audio:
Since Delayed Penalty isn’t ready to be recorded yet, James and I are discussing recording the Naughty in Pendleton series next. I am SO excited by the idea of getting that in audio. What do you think?
See you back here next week!
