I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, if you celebrated.   Mine was just my parents and I, but we did the full Thanksgiving spread. We also did our annual family doughnut party on Sunday with the extended family.    I got to see two of my cousins and their families and my parents are continuing the traditions my mom’s parents started, which is really fun. It’s been a bit of a wild week for me. Lots of things going sideways on me as I try to prepare for the holiday craziness ahead. I’m trying to take lots of deep breaths and just deal with everything as it comes but YIKES. I also have jury duty December 1-19 (which includes my birthday on the 18 th 😿). Things are humming along around here. I took a couple of days off writing to focus on some admin work that’s been lingering on my To Do list. It feels so good to get that all checked off. Although we won’t be doing another Christmas Falls season this year, we do have something special for you.   Along with DJ Jamison, Beth Bolden, Rye Cox, and Jacki James, I worked with the amazing artist Lauren Dombrowski to create illustrated covers for some of the Christmas Falls titles.    We had a great time creating these special edition paperbacks and I couldn’t be happier with the way the cover for Scrooge You! turned out.  Aren’t Hayden & Joel adorable ? Hope you’re having a good week. Mine has been a little chaotic (really feeling that Mercury in Retrograde energy right now …) but I’ve gotten a lot done.   I bought and assembled a comfy new desk chair because my previous one was getting so old. The cushion was losing its supportiveness and the latch that lets me lean back in it/lock it upright went on the fritz.  I figured it was time to get something more comfortable.    My humidifier and my garment steamer both died too. My parents are back from vacation which means that I am FINALLY back to my normal schedule. It’s a good thing too because I was about to have a fucking meltdown.   Last weekend, I attended Artoberfest in Ann Arbor. The city holds a HUGE art fair in the summer and while it’s amazing, I find it really overwhelming.
