WHAT I’M UP TO …

I am back from my road trip! I had a fabulous time in Chicago and Minneapolis.
At Sports Romance Con, I was able to sign books, meet readers, and do Heated Rivalry trivia! I hung out with Julie, who worked her butt off as my PA for the weekend, met people I’ve only talked to online, and connected with other authors.
In Chicago, I got to visit friends, eat delicious food, stay in my favorite hotel, visit Shedd Aquarium and the American Writers Museum.
All of it is such a great way to refill my creative well and I am so glad I was able to take this time away.
Oh, and if you wondered why I didn’t send my newsletter yesterday, it’s because the giant snowstorm we had in Minneapolis pushed back my vacation by a day. On Thursday, while I was out having fun, I got a notification reminding me I had a meeting with Kim. Not only had I not written this newsletter or prepped anything for our meeting, I was nowhere near my laptop and was slightly tipsy from the Paloma cocktail I had with my fish taco lunch. Whoops.
Your girl was playing hooky! Thankfully Kim was very understanding and we pushed our meeting back to today.
Now I am home and back to work on edits and planning the Cheap Shot launch in April. I’m also ready to get started writing the sixth and final book in the Scoring Chances series. Can you believe it’s already wrapping up?
