WHAT I’M UP TO …

Happy September! 

Autumn is my favorite time of year, so you better believe that I am excited that summer is finally winding down. 

I had a fabulous time at Third Man Records last Friday. You can read all about it and see the pics here on Instagram. I even got a free record to take home! 

Last weekend, the weather started to cool, and I was able to do my final readthrough of Slew Foot on the front porch before I sent it off to proofreaders. It was warm, but not TOO warm and so relaxing to read outside.  

We had one super-hot day earlier this week before the temperature settled down again and I hope to get out and do something outdoorsy this coming weekend while it’s nice. While I am sure we’ll get some hot days before we’re truly into fall weather, I am going to try to take advantage of every nice (under 70-75 degree) day we have.  

I got so excited about the coming season that I made a little autumn bucket list with things I want to do (like go hiking once the leaves change color, bake pumpkin bread, and find a local fall festival to go to). I even picked up a few candles and a cozy throw blanket to replace an old one that finally gave up the ghost (no pun intended).  

I’m loving the candle scents, though it’s a toss-up between the maple old fashioned (a maple bourbon scent) or the spiced apple cider one. I am so looking forward to the coziest time of year!

Writing 

• I’m over 35% on book #4 in the Scoring Chances series. LOVING these guys. 

Editing: 

• I’ll be getting proofreading notes back on Slew Foot soon so that means it’s almost time for ARCs! We’re getting so close to the release on the 19^th!

Projects:  

• Kim & I are hard at work on the signed paperback project. More details on that coming up soon but we’re nearly there, I swear!
