WHAT I’M UP TO …

A seafoam green coffee cup is in front of a hand holding a pen writing in a notebook. The text reads, "WHAT I'M UP TO..." and the date.

If you’re in the US, I hope you made it through the storm safely and I am sending big hugs to everyone who is trying to cope with what’s happening in Minnesota.

I’m still in Albuquerque and doing my best to find joy in the midst of the horrors.

We managed to miss the worst of the storm, but I did wake up on Sunday to two inches of snow. That’s pretty rare for this area so it made for a gorgeous walk around the neighborhood and then a beautiful hike in the foothills of the Sandia on Monday. In addition to the hiking, my bestie and I checked out a brewery, and did a game night with some of her friends.

Her husband has been cooking us delicious meals and we all watched Sinners and Heated Rivalry! They hadn’t seen either and really enjoyed them both. We also went to a honor’s night at one of the kids’ schools to celebrate how hard he’s been working lately.

On Thursday, my bestie and I drove up to Santa Fe to visit a friend who lives there, have lunch, and do a little shopping. Friday we headed up to the Jemez Mountains to do some hiking and check out the natural hot springs (and take part in the national strike).

Want to know what else I’ve been up to?

Writing:

  • I had to make a little tweak to the timeline for Cheap Shot but overall, writing is going great. I should be wrapping it up next week (I think).

Audio:

  • I’ve finished reviewing Delayed Penalty chapters from James! He’ll be recording a few corrections this week but we’re right on schedule for the February audio release.

Projects:

  • I will be launching some pre-orders for illustrated paperbacks on my shop soon!

See you here next week!
