GAME MISCONDUCT – DEAR DIARY

Dear Diary.

Fuck Tanner Clayton. He’s been driving me up the fucking wall since we played together in JUNIORS.

And he hasn’t gotten any better over the years. Every time there’s a Harriers vs. Rockets game, I swear I lose my mind. I always take so many stupid penalties when I let him rile me up. 

And after ten years, he’s still the single-most annoying person I’ve ever met. It wasn’t bad enough that I had to spend time with him during the skills camp last summer, but of course he’s playing in the North Atlantic tournament this year too.

If it wasn’t such a huge honor to be invited to play for the Nordic Team, I’d fake being sick just so I don’t have to deal with him. Ugh. 

I still can’t believe I let him goad me into the handjobs last summer. What was I THINKING? Oh, right. I wasn’t. I don’t care how good they were. It wasn’t worth it. 

Just like I wasn’t thinking in Juniors when I let him taunt me into getting drunk. And, you know, when I let him blow me. Although at least back then I learned there was a way to shut him up …

Thankfully, we’re on different teams at the tournament. I can avoid him, right? It was bad enough he was the reason Boston passed on drafting me. I can’t let him fuck up hockey for me AGAIN.

It’s an honor to be playing and even though it’s a long shot, we WILL beat Team USA. No matter what, I WILL resist him. I have to …
