WHAT I’M UP TO …

I don’t want to get too cocky here, but whispers I actually had a pretty good week. 

It’s so nice to just focus on work on not dealing with health crap OR a major emotional blow.  

I’m taking the afternoon off today to check out Third Man Records in Detroit. It’s an indie record label founded by Jack White of the White Stripes (along with a couple of other people). They have a shop and offer limited tours of their vinyl-pressing facility in Detroit and I’m super geeked about going.  

I also started a new puzzle (with a cool outer space design), did some coloring in a coloring book, and have been working on some watercolor painting projects. I’m trying to make it as easy as possible to do creative things in the evenings instead of just stare at my phone and it feels great. 10/10 would recommend.

Writing 

• I’m over the 25% mark on book #4 in the Scoring Chances series and having so much fun with the guys. Will the inevitable slow-down hit soon? Probably! But I’m having fun in the meantime and so grateful to have a great alpha reader who helps me get untangled every time.  

Editing: 

• I got edits back on Slew Foot. Nothing major to report there other than I should have it ready to go to proofreaders early next week. If you have proofread for me in the past, keep an eye out for a message from me soon. 

Audio: 

• Audio ARCs of Body Check went out and we’re just days away from the September 1^st release!  

  
  

• James finished recording one of the bonus shorts and OMG you are going to love it. He did so good. I listened to the first chapter of the second one last night while I worked on my puzzle and it sounds great too. When they’re both done, we’ll get them out to you ASAP.
