VACATION INCOMING

I am getting ready to go on vacation!  

On Saturday, I pick my bestie up from the airport along with her kids and on Monday we’ll drive a couple of hours to her family’s lakeside cottage here in Michigan.  

Her parents (and maybe her brother?) will be joining us there. We’ll spend the week reading in the shade on the pontoon boat, swimming, going for walks, kayaking, and playing board games.  

It couldn’t have come at a better time because I am IN NEED of a vacation.  

I’ll be doing a little bit of writing in the mornings but honestly, I am excited about that too. Writing is the easy part of this job and it’s always so peaceful to get up before most of the other people are awake, eat my breakfast and drink my coffee looking out at the lake, then pop my earbuds in and get some words written. I’m done by mid-morning and the rest of the day is 100% for relaxing. 

I’ll be skipping my newsletter next week. I’ll have a nice little recap about my trip for you the week after that, but I figured I’d give Kim and myself a break, and you a little time to catch up on all of the other emails you get!
