WHAT I’M UP TO …

For the longest time I’ve wanted to post a weekly update on here letting you know where I’m at with current projects. I could never find enough hours in the day, so after some planning with my PA, Kim, we decided she’d start posting all of my blog posts. 

Now, don’t think that means I’m not writing them myself! They’re my words, she’s just taking care of the tedious work of getting them posted.  

So, here’s a little roundup of what I’ve been up to this week.  

Mostly, watching A LOT of hockey! 

I hopped on the Toronto Maple Leafs bandwagon, so I’ve been watching those games. Plus, Sidney Crosby is captain of Team Canada in the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) championship, so I’ve been watching those games. The tournament takes place in Stokholm, Sweden, so I’ve had to get a little creative with my daily schedule, but it’s been fun to watch. As always, watching is giving me tons of plot ideas, so that’s fun.  

Writing:  

• After a few hiccups, I’m about 20k words into Book #3 in the Scoring Chances series and enjoying writing it. I had an idea for the story that’s going to be really fun, so I am looking forward to sharing that with you in the future.  

Editing: 

• We’re absolutely still on track for the May 30th release of Body Check but I had to push back proofreading and ARCs a little bit. The migraines slowed down editing for me, and as I mentioned, finding sensitivity readers for the story has been a little bit tricky.  

Audio: 

• James Edward Jones and I have already talked about recording Body Check in audio. We don’t have official release dates for it, but he’s definitely on board for the project and should be able to start as soon as I have the file ready, so we’ll hit the ground running on that! 

Projects:  

• I released the Rules of the Game quote stickers on my shop and the Relationship Goals ones will also be out soon. And I’m working on something really fun for Pride month.  

  
  

I’m feeling really productive despite the wonky schedule, so I am very pleased with that.
